Indigenous Resonance: A Dialogue between Culture and Education

✍️Event Concept:
This exhibition, “Indigenous Resonance: A Dialogue between Culture and Education,” highlights the College of Indigenous Studies’ 13-year journey in promoting indigenous education and cultural preservation since its founding. Centered around the two core themes of education and culture, the exhibition adopts a static format that incorporates a variety of media, including text, images, video, artifacts, and crafts, to create a layered and interactive experience. Visitors are invited to explore indigenous culture through visual, sensory, and emotional perspectives, gaining a deeper appreciation of its richness, diversity, and depth. The exhibition content includes teaching practices, curriculum design, documentation of cultural activities, and visual records of faculty members and students engaging in co-learning with indigenous communities. These are showcased alongside cultural crafts and highlights from past educational initiatives, illustrating how the College integrates education and cultural transmission to foster broader understanding and recognition of multicultural values both on and off campus. At its heart, the exhibition emphasizes the resonance created through the fusion of culture and education. It demonstrates ISU’s commitment to educational innovation and cultural preservation and affirms indigenous culture’s relevance and influence within modern educational systems. The exhibition adopts a thematic structure with clearly defined zones, including “Historical Retrospective,” “Cultural Representation,” “Educational Perspectives,” and “Social Engagement.” This immersive design aims to guide visitors through a contemplative journey, fostering meaningful connections with indigenous culture while revealing how cultural education is vital in advancing social inclusion and sustainable cultural development in an ever-changing world.
