🎯“This Is My Department” Book Exhibition
A curated display of core professional textbooks from all academic departments, dating back to the establishment of ISU, will be presented. Books from the College of Medicine and the College of Medical Science and Technology will be exhibited at the Medical Campus Library. Arranged in order according to the founding year of each department or college, the exhibition will feature at least five representative titles in Chinese and foreign languages per department. This event aims to provide both current students and alumni with insight into interdisciplinary knowledge, inspire motivation to pursue a second specialty, and encourage the development of diverse career paths. The exhibition also highlights ISU’s rich academic diversity as a comprehensive university.
🎯Recommended Book Reflection Writing Contest
Students are invited to recommend a representative book from their departments and write a brief reflection (at least 50 words) explaining their recommendation and personal thoughts. All submissions will be showcased on the online platform “Padlet,” with reflections displayed on-site using tablets for visitors to view.
🎯Event Outcomes
In celebration of ISU’s 35th anniversary, this exhibition showcased the most representative professional course books from all departments since ISU’s founding. The event aimed to help current students and alumni better understand interdisciplinary knowledge, inspiring them to pursue secondary specialties and shape versatile career paths, while highlighting the academic diversity of a comprehensive university.
A dedicated display area was set up at the entrance on the library’s second floor, allowing visitors to browse the exhibition as they passed by. Some stopped to leaf through the featured books and read the promotional materials, with several participants also submitting written reflections to share their thoughts on the professional literature from their respective fields.
Through this exhibition, professional books from each department were successfully promoted, encouraging faculty members and students to make greater use of library resources to develop their expertise further.
